10/8/09: Where did you go. The first vaccation that pops in my head is...
Last year (2008), my Mum, Dad, Michael, Rebecca & I went to the Gold Coast to see my auntie Charmaine (mums sister).
We went to SeaWorld and DreamWorld. I LOVED it because I haden't seen my auntie for ages. She came back to Mildura to meet my baby sister, Sarah.
23/7/09: What does your future hold?

I have searched through your future & this is what I have found...(ten years later)
You go to university & study on teaching.
On your 20th birthday, you get a fair bit of money (I don't know how much) & buy a fluffy dog called, Honey.
You go back to your primary school & be a student teacher. There is a girl there called Hailey that looked almost the same as you did when you where in primary school.
Im sorry, I cant locate the rest of your future.

14/7/09: Something I no longer own but I wish I still had... I used to have a fish called 'Squid' but he died. I won a colouring in comp and got to choose out of- 2 Hermit Crabs & Cage, 3 Fish & Tank or a bird & cage. I also have Salt & Pepper. He was important because it doesn't sound right any more. It was Salt, Pepper & Squid, but now it's Salt & Pepper!
23/6/09: The movie that blew my mind...
The movie "Journey to the center of the earth" blew my mind. It was one of the BEST movies I have ever seen, because it had so many twists & turns that just kept coming & going through out the movie. In different parts of the movie it became scary. And some times sad. The emotions changed all the time.
"Journey To The Center Of The Earth" is all about a group of people that have been through alot of trouble because their father/brother had been killed. They did not know how he had been killed. They then found out as they set off to go to the center of earth, where they believed Max had been going but was killed on the way.
4/6/09: Room 14 experiment!
Our classroom participated in an experiment. The experiment was the grade 6'shad to give their net book to a grade 5 for the day, just to find out what it would be like not having a net book & the grade 5's having one instead.
This is what I thought of the net books:
Having a net book is sooo awsome!!!!! It feels soooo weird because usally WE have to ask for the net book where as THEY had to ask to use something that is there own!
When the grade 6's needed to type up some work & do something they had to use class computers.
The things i did on the net book were:
Microsft Word, 2 Different maths games, BTN video & Internet.
The experiment was great fun & it also proves why we need net books & what would happen with out them. We hope that this changes the governments idea to stop the net books.
2/6/09: Student Led Conference
English- Use paragraphs correctly in my writing
I have nearly achieved this goal by:
Writing Stores that use paragraphs
Maths- Learn my 6, 7 & 8 times tables I have achieved this goal by:
Practising at home
Going on Tutpup
Writing them out
Personal- Become more confident, persistent & organised every day I have achieved this goal by:
Going up at assembly for sports & awards
Answering questions (even if my answer is wrong)
Trying with any worksheets or sums no matter how hard they are
1/6/09: The day those ' Things' came!!! Know as..... NET BOOKS!!
On the 25th of March the grade 6's got each got a net book if they payed for it. A net book is a like a laptop, just a fair bit smaller.
The government, school & the grade 6's all contributed to the pay.
Now, after 2 & a half months, we have used these net books a fair bit for our learning & we really enjoy them. Even the grade 5's enjoy them even though we dont have one until next year.
The programs we have used on these net books through out the time we have had them are: Audacity, The Dictionary, Tux Typing, Tux Maths, Different internet programs & lots more!!!
Some grade 5's are maybe a bit jealous, but they are still great devices so we do have an excuse. LOL =)
I hope we are allowed to have the chance of having one next year because they ROCK!!!!
